Background
Due to increased demand for students, Kilmore Central National School had to extend it’s building. It was decided to extend the school by an extra five classrooms, totalling 1650 sq ft single storey free standing building.
Description of Works
A five classroom extension consisting of a 1650 sq ft single storey free standing building with cavity block work construction including truss roof with concrete roof tiles, aluminium doors & windows and minor refurbishment works to the existing school. Internal fit out comprised of installation of mechanical, electrical & fire alarm systems, joinery, suspended ceilings, floor finishes and décor. External works involved the construction of a new macadam basketball court, GAA pitch, driveways, footpaths & car parks, drainage works, electrical, telephone and data services. The construction of new boundary walls & perimeter fencing combined with all landscaping works completed the project.
